Meet Your Assistant!

A Summary of Me…

It’s no surprise that I would end up owning a business that deals with details and organization.  As a kid, I enjoyed going to the grocery store because I could straighten out the shelves, making sure all the products were lined up properly with the labels facing forward.  (Oh boy…maybe I shouldn’t tell people that!)

A fascination with computers led me away from the administrative world to an honors diploma in desktop support.  After several successful years in nuts-and-bolts I.T., I accepted a position as a remote trainer for time-and-attendance software.  It was interesting, but the commute was a killer!

Guess what happened next?

A job (and soul) search led me back to my roots — assisting busy professionals with administrative tasks and project management.  It was an instant fit, and I have been very successful at forwarding the growth of our entire administrative team.  I have since attained my Certified Professional Secretary and Certified Administrative Professional designations from the IAAP (International Association of Administrative Professionals), and I continually seek opportunities to learn and expand my horizons.

Why Virtual Assistance?

I’ve recently been reminded of something a former boss told me, way back in 1986:  “Patty, you have no business working for me; you should be in business for yourself.”  That’s a pretty good endorsement for someone who was very young at the time.  (Thanks, Tom!)

Not long ago I met Suzanne Evans of  Blueprint Life Coaching, and she introduced me to the VA world.  I realized this was exactly what I was meant to do!  Virtual assistance allows me to share my years of expertise with others such that they can achieve the success they desire and have more time to enjoy life.

So here I am, running my own business, caring for my awesome cats, Truman, Junior, and Mommycat (as well as all the outdoor kitties), and marching in parades with a local drum and bugle corps.  (I’ve been playing the mellophone bugle since 1974.  Yikes! Almost too long to admit!)

That’s me in a nutshell!  I look forward to getting to know you, too!
